Typical for after the holidays not much goes on. We finally get unpacked from our trips and settle back into the rhythm of school, work, homework and chores.
We did have a very nice dinner with friends in January. My friend John V had asked if he purchased prime rib would I cook the dinner. Heck yes! What he delivered to me was a 16+ pound piece of meat that cost well over $100. Ruth, Theron, myself, John, Anne and her friend Arnold sat down for the following menu that Sunday:
Prime rib with au jus Yorkshire pudding Garlic roasted fingerling potatoes Asparagus Wine
and for dessert Citrus Chiffon Pie
It was an amazing meal and we even had live entertainment as Arnold, John and Anne took turns at the piano.
