Subject: Re: The Bible foretells the VP debate
If you watched the Vice-President-Paul Ryan debate on Thursday, you will understand the meaning of this Proverb.
"If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet" Proverbs 29:9
Biden smugly laughed his way through the debate trying to intimidate and belittle Ryan to make Ryan lose his cool.
Not only does the Proverb describe Biden, but it describes the entire Democratic Party, where civility no longer exists.

I came upon a Sign that read

When I got a Little closer
The doors swung Open wide
And when I came To myself
I was standing Inside..
I saw a host of Angels.
They were Standing everywhere
One handed me a Basket
And said 'My Child shop with care..'
Everything a Human needed Was in that Grocery store
And what you Could not carry You could come Back for more
First I got some Patience.
Love was in that Same row.
Further down was Understanding, You need that Everywhere you go..
I got a box or Two of Wisdom And Faith a bag Or two.
And Charity of Course I would need some Of that too..
I couldn't miss The Holy Ghost It was all over The place.
And then some Strength And Courage to Help me run this race.
My basket was Getting full But I remembered I needed Grace,
And then I chose Salvation for Salvation was for Free
I tried to get Enough of that to do For you and me..
Then I started to The counter To pay my grocery Bill,
For I thought I Had everything To do the Masters Will.
As I went up the Aisle I saw Prayer and Put that in,
For I knew when I Stepped outside I would run into Sin.
Peace and Joy Were plentiful, The last things On the shelf.
Song and Praise Were hanging near So I just helped Myself.
Then I said to The angel
'Now how much do I owe?'
He smiled and Said
'Just take them Everywhere you go.'
Again I asked 'Really now,
How much do I Owe?'
'My child' he Said, 'God paid your bill A long long time Ago.'

Tiffany Ann Lewis: Hang Onto Hope by Tiffany Ann Lewis Oct 28, 2012
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12
The days that we are living in now require that we hang onto hope like never before. But what exactly is Biblical hope and how do we hang onto it? Let's take a look.
In Hebrew, there are two primary words for hope: yachal (pronounced ya-khal; Strong's #3176), which is the root word in the Scripture above, and tiqvah (pronounced teek-vah; Strong's #8615), which we'll discover later in this article. Although they are different words, they share similar meanings: to wait, to hope, and to expect.
This reveals that Biblical hope involves expectancy, not wishful thinking. Biblical hope consists of waiting for the Lord to accomplish His perfect will in our lives and earnestly expecting Him to come through for us. For example, in last month's "Manna," Are You Expecting?, I shared with you that my daughter is expecting and will soon be delivering my first grandchild. She is not expecting a giraffe or an elephant, she is expecting a baby girl. Similarly, as Believers hoping in God, we should be expecting that which God has promised us in His Word will be delivered.
Unfortunately, when you are waiting (and waiting some more) and haven't seen the fulfillment, it's easy to become depressed and discouraged. As our text reveals, our heart can become heavy or sick. Tragically, we may even give up the hope of ever experiencing the fullness that God has for us.
Can you identify? Have you been in the waiting room for an extended period of time and find yourself losing hope? If so, I pray that this message is an encouragement to you from the Lord.
From Surviving to Thriving
Let's take a look at the word translated as "deferred" in Proverbs 13:12. In Hebrew the word is mashach (pronounced mah-shakh; Strong's #4900) and means: draw, drag, or seize. With that meaning in mind, I find it no coincidence that in John 10:10 Jesus speaks of the enemy of our soul as a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy us. The enemy is trying to drag the hope right from our heart! Some of the ways he successfully does that is through doubt, worry, and fear. That is why it is so important to hang onto our hope. Yet, how do we do that? How do we hang onto hope especially when our heart is sick, weak, and defeated?
Scripture gives us some insight in the second chapter of Joshua through the encounter with the harlot Rahab. Interestingly, this is also where the first appearance of the other word is in the Bible I mentioned earlier that means hope (tiqvah). In case you are not familiar with the story, let me give a very brief overview.
In a mighty display of His strength, God rescued the children of Israel from 400+ years of bondage in Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. The wilderness is a dreadful place, yet they survived, nay, they thrived because God was providing what they needed as they journeyed toward their promised land.
News must have gotten around the region about Israel and their God. I'm sure that folks were talking about this group that was wandering around the desert with a cloud cover by day shielding them from the sun and a pillar of fire warming them by night as they moved toward the Promised Land. Well, Jericho was part of the land God wanted them to possess. Can you imagine what it must have felt like to a resident of Jericho watching this group coming toward your home with God leading the way? It must have been terrifying.
Enter Rahab, a harlot who lived in Jericho. Israel sent spies into Jericho to search out the land. Rahab hid them from the king, protecting them from certain death. In return, the spies promised to protect Rahab and her family if she tied a scarlet cord in her window and stayed inside the house. However, if she didn't follow their instructions, they wouldn't be responsible if Rahab and her family were destroyed when the walls came tumbling down.
...unless, when we come into the land, you bind this line of scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and unless you bring your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father's household to your own home. So it shall be that whoever goes outside the doors of your house into the street, his blood shall be on his own head, and we will be guiltless. And whoever is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head if a hand is laid on him. Joshua 2:18-19
I underlined the word "line" regarding the scarlet cord Rahab tied in her window because this red thread was Rahab's rope of hope! The word "line" is tiqvah (hope). She didn't just tie a rope in the window...she bound her future in her hope in God!
Can you imagine how heartsick Rahab could have become waiting in her house watching God's army marching toward her town? I bet the enemy of her soul was trying to defer her hope and cause her to doubt that the sign of faith, which she placed in the window, would save her. Nevertheless, she waited on the Lord and kept that rope in her window and her hope in God. As a result, she and her family were saved from the destruction of Jericho. Hallelujah!
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). Something supernatural happens as we wait on the Lord. As we wait upon the Lord, we connect to His strength, His grace, His power, and His might. Faith arises in our weak human heart and empowers us to be still and hang onto hope.
I don't know what type of destruction you may be facing today, but I know that the enemy wants to drag your hope away. He wants you to doubt you will ever see the goodness of God manifested in your life. Beloved, hang onto Jesus, He is your rope of Hope. "This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil" (Hebrews 6:19).
I know it's hard at times, but please don't give up. Do what Rahab did: Hang onto hope and you will see the salvation of the Lord. Amen and Amen.

Dear Dimpled Darling Daughter,
Here is a word for you that is a word of encouragement. You have planted so many seeds in your life with children, friends, relatives, neighbors, church people, people and animals. There is a big balance in your heavenly account that is about to pay you great dividends. As hard as it FEELS, hold on to this truth--the Lord who sees what you have done (in secret) will reward you openly. Not because your mother says so, (though I do) but because you are an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus see Romans 8:14-17. Look it up and read it out loud to yourself. If you read it out loud to yourself, you are seeing it, speaking it and hearing it, all at the same--a triple way to assert your faith and God's truth into your mind and heart. 'They that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not grow weary, they shall and not faint, Teach me Lord, Teach me Lord to wait." Isaiah. I love you MMM

Romans 8:14-17 (New International Version)
(14) For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. (15) The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” (16) The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. (17) Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Dena McClure: Who Hit the Shift Key? by Dena McClure Nov 1, 2012
SHIFT: move or cause to move from one place to another, especially over a small distance:
• change the position of one's body • change the emphasis, direction, or focus of • change in emphasis, direction, or focus
There is a Kingdom shift happening right now, which is manifesting at many levels. The first week of October, I began to feel and sense a spiritual shift happening. It was so tangible that I found myself saying, "Who hit the shift key?" I even had a sign one morning last week when I heard a loud boom and felt a wave of power go through my house. I felt a wave of power hit me in my back and move me forward. Whether it was an earthquake or something else I am not sure, but I now know it was a sign in the natural of what God is doing in the spiritual, and very possibly could have been an event that the Holy Spirit orchestrated just for me as a sign.
The "Shift Key" that will unlock your Kingdom Shift is to "Perceive it, Believe it and Enter it!" So here are the ones I am aware of:
A National Shift: The American people lost sight of our true identity and purpose as a nation. When identity is restored purpose is restored, and with purpose comes empowerment, and with empowerment comes a strong sense of direction! So there is a national shift happening that will affect our identity, purpose, power and direction. Within this national shift we will see a government and economic shift. There is also a national spiritual shift that is unfolding right now that our prayers can help quicken and expedite into being.
A Revelatory Shift: I've stepped into and I'm experiencing increased revelation, not only for myself, but I'm hearing this from many of my friends in ministry. Let me quickly say that this revelatory increase is not limited to ministry teachers and preachers but is there for ALL. In fact, there are new levels of revelation for the righteous in the seven mountains. There are things I have spoken and talked about for years, but I am hearing profound things come out of my mouth that I've never said before. Holy Spirit is rocking me with the increase and depth of mysteries and secrets He's sharing and revealing. The atmosphere is pregnant with new depths of revelation knowledge that is just waiting to be birthed into your understanding. It's time to start pushing!
A Glory Shift of the Presence of God: I am in awe of the increase of God's presence within my life. He is daily manifesting His tangible presence to me, through me and around me. He draws to me when I present myself, He surprises me with waves of His glory when I least expect it. I have always known the delight of His presence, but there has definitely been a shift in the manifestations and levels of His glory not only to me but to all who contain the treasure of His glory within!
A Harvest Shift: There is a harvest shift that is beginning. A month ago I had a dream that I woke up, looked out my bedroom window, and there was a vineyard that had been planted overnight which was already producing. I was aware of workers that had labored in the night to accomplish this whom I believe were angels. It was so real that when I woke up I wanted to look out my bedroom window to see if there was a new vineyard. I believe through the dream God was showing me Amos 9:13, which says, "Behold, the days come, saith [Jehovah], that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt."
I believe the stage is being set to reap a harvest of souls for God's Kingdom. I believe there is a harvest of new wine, which speaks of the anointing and presence of the Holy Spirit. Lastly, I believe there is a harvest of supernatural provision! Remember, you can only harvest what's already been sown! The harvest shift is a shift of timing and speed that will produce things almost quicker than you can sow them.
These are but a few of the mighty things God is shifting in the earth right now, but more importantly, in our own personal lives! Begin to look for it – begin to believe it!

James Goll: Urgent Prayer for Elections
Mon, Nov 05, 2012 11:11 AM
This is a wonderful Bible-based word concerning government and the upcoming election--I offer it for your consideration. Blessings, Becky
********************************************************
James Goll: Urgent Prayer for Elections by James Goll Nov 5, 2012
...I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 NASB
Prayers for people who are in positions of authority have high priority in the heart of God. We see this in Scripture, such as the one quoted at the beginning of this chapter. You could even say that 1 Timothy 2:1-4 is an apostolic admonition for prayer. When South African pastor and prolific author Andrew Murray read this passage, he wrote in response:
What a faith in the power of prayer! A few feeble and despised Christians are to influence the mighty Roman emperors, and help in securing peace and quietness. Let us believe that prayer is a power that is taken up by God in His rule of the world. Let us pray for our country and its rulers; for all the rulers of the world; for rulers in cities or districts in which we are interested. When God's people unite in this, they may count upon their prayers effecting in the unseen world more than they know. Let faith hold this fast. [Andrew Murray, Helps to Intercession (Fort Washington, PA :Christian Literature Crusade, 2007), Day 17.]
Murray laid hold of the fact that earthly authority cannot be exercised within the will of God without the steady application of prayer on the part of the people of God.
Jack W. Hayford, respected founding pastor of The Church on the Way in Van Nuys, California, comments:
...you and I can help decide [whether]...blessing or cursing...happen on earth. We will determine whether God's goodness is released toward specific situations or whether the power of sin and Satan is permitted to prevail. Prayer is the determining factor. [Jack W. Hayford, Prayer is Invading the Impossible (New York: Ballantine Books, 1983), 57.]
Yes, the prayers that Christians pray for those in authority matter; they are essential to the advancement of the Kingdom. We cannot afford to leave them up to others. Prayer for leaders must become one of the features of our lives as intercessors.
Many other Scriptures help us understand how to pray for people who are in positions of authority. Let's look at a few of them:
"Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king."1 Peter 2:17 NKJV
"Fear the Lord and the king, my son, and do not join with the rebellious, for those two will send sudden destruction upon them, and who knows what calamities they can bring?" Proverbs 24:21-22 NIV
"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan." Proverbs 29:2 NKJV
"Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil.
"Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.
"Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience' sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor." Romans 13:1-7 NASB
Why Should We Pray For Those Who Are In Authority?
I see two reasons in 1 Timothy 2:1-4: (1) "so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity," and (2) so that God can bring those in authority – as well as those under their authority – to Himself (He "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth").
I once heard the late international Bible teacher, Derek Prince, expand on this. He said that it doesn't matter what plans, systems, or programs you devise. If you bypass prayer, you will not have power to carry them out. He compared prayerless intentions to a building that is wired for electricity – but if it's not connected to a power source, nothing will work, even if the wires are in good order and the light fixtures are beautiful. Our power-source is prayer, and we are enjoined in the Bible to pray in particular for "kings and all who are in authority," for good government and wise leadership. Why? So that (1) we might have peace and order, (2) for the propagation of the Gospel, and (3) because God desires all men to be saved.
Another reason we should pray for those who are in authority is simply to be obedient to the will of God. It's clear that He wants us to pray for those in authority. He also wants us to obey them as far as it is possible to do so. If you "do good," as Romans 13:1-7 says, you will have no need to be fearful of the authorities.
Praying and Voting!
"Voting" is to "prayer" as "works" is to "faith." We are to demonstrate our faith by our works or corresponding actions. You can do more than prayer after you've prayed. But you cannot do more than pray until you've prayed. We do not choose between the two as though they are conflicting purposes. No! We pray, get informed, and then put feet to our faith, and VOTE!
Let me close this out this week with a simple and urgent appeal as voters in the United States of America head to the polls this week for our national elections. Pray that righteousness prevails. Pray and vote for those who take a stand for life, who stand with the Biblical view of marriage, and take a firm stand with Israel. This election is not just about the economy or international affairs – as important as those subjects are. These elections, like few others, are about righteousness ruling in our land.
Praying for righteousness to prevail!
A Heartfelt Prayer For People In Authority
While we each have special prayer assignments, we are all called to pray for people who are in authority (review 1 Timothy 2:1-4 from above). It is God's heart! It is God's Word! It is God's command! Let's tune in to God's heart, praying for leaders and issues that concern them.
Father, in accordance with Your Word, we pause and pray for kings and for those in authority. We bring before You the one who is the President of the United States at this time. We pray that You will raise up godly counsel around the President's life, and we pray that the voices of advisors that are based on an unbiblical framework will be silenced.
We ask You to provide wisdom like that of Solomon, as well as purity, protection, and safety. We release the knowledge of God's will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding. We also pray for our governors [name your state governor] and for our members of congress on the national and state levels. We pray for those in authority in the judicial system, especially the nine Supreme Court justices of the United States (and your nation wherever it may be). We bless them in the name of the Lord of Hosts.
We pray that all of those in authority would realize and recognize their personal inadequacy to fulfill their role and that You would release to them a revelation of dependency upon God. We pray that You would reverse the trends of socialism and humanism in this nation – all trends that deify man rather than God.
Lord, as this nation and different nations go into critical times of elections, we call forth those who are truly appointed by You. Let them rise to the top with favor, as cream rises to the top of the milk. Give them a voice that will be heard. Release favor to righteous men and women and to those who are humble, to those who are wise and have revelatory activity upon their lives – release them into positions of influence and impact and authority.
We pray for priorities to be released, revelation to come of the honor of being a public servant. We pray that there would be reliance upon the Word of God, the will of God, and the ways of God as the source of daily strength and wisdom and courage. We pray that there would be a restoration of dignity and honor, trustworthiness and righteousness in the land.
We pray for our spiritual leaders. We pray for our pastors, our apostles, our prophets, our evangelists, our pastors, and our teachers. We pray blessings and protection over them. We pray for purity. We pray for the quality of life in their families.
We bless those in authority this day and we declare that this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all men and women to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. We thank You, in Yeshua's great name. Amen.
Join with me across the nations of the earth in prayer for the national elections of the U.S.A. What happens in the United States affects the entire world, so let's join together for righteousness to prevail for such a time as this.
Joining you on the walls!

November 7, 2012 Jane Hansen-Hoyt: The Greater Purpose: Taking Dominion
Last evening a President was elected to another term of office in the United States. It was a measured victory with half of the nation voting for the other candidate. Such a divided vote speaks to the reality that we are a nation divided on many issues, serious issues, that continue to profoundly change America. We have seen historically what occurs when a nation continually turns from the principles of God's Word to walk in its own ways.
As you might imagine, there are many voters who are concerned with the outcome of this election. While I am certain that we, as Believers, must continue to make our prayers heard in the gates of our respective nations, I also want to remind us of our true purpose. When Pilate questioned Jesus about being "King of the Jews," Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not of this world!" Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice" (see John 18:33-37).
Jesus knew who He was. His identity was secure. His purpose was focused. He could not be turned aside by people's opinion of Him or the questions they asked. He never once wavered in the purpose for which He had come, which was to demonstrate the realities of another Kingdom. That Kingdom was vastly different from the world around Him. He had come to establish a new mindset, a new culture, and a new way. We, as the followers of Jesus, have been sent into the world to continue what Jesus began.
Think of Pilate's response to Jesus: "Do You not know that I have power to crucify You?" (see John 19:10). In essence, Pilate was saying that he had the power to destroy Jesus and all that He had come to do in the earth! The bold answer of Jesus captured the totality of the situation, even as it does ours, "You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above" (verse 11).
Jesus knew that there was a greater purpose He had been sent to accomplish. While things around Him swirled in opposition to that purpose, He walked in total confidence that God, His Father, was in control and would not allow any deviation from the plan.
Nothing has changed! We, too, walk in the knowledge that God's plan is marching on. We are the people of another Kingdom. We have joined ourselves to Him in that purpose, as we move on with Him. The hour is more critical than we know and our prayers and worship more vital than we perhaps see. It is the time of our arising. We have stepped into a new place in our identity and purpose. Do not be moved by what you see and hear. Keep your eye single and you will be filled with the light of His revelation as we walk forward together, male and female, taking dominion.

The Carpenter
Once upon a time, two brothers who lived on adjoining farms fell into conflict. It was the first serious rift in 40 years of farming side-by-side, sharing machinery and trading labor and goods as needed without a hitch.
Then the long collaboration fell apart. It began with a small misunderstanding and it grew into a major difference and finally, it exploded into an exchange of bitter words followed by weeks of silence.
One morning there was a knock on John's door. He opened it to find a man with a carpenter's toolbox. "I 'm looking for a few days' work," he said. "Perhaps you would have a few small jobs here and there I could help with? Could I help you?"
"Yes," said the older brother. "I do have a job for you. Look across the creek at that farm. That's my neighbor. In fact, it's my younger brother! Last week there was a meadow between us. He recently took his bulldozer to the river levee and now there is a creek between us. Well, he may have done this to spite me, but I'll do him one better. See that pile of lumber by the barn? I want you to build me a fence an 8-foot fence -- so I won't need to see his place or his face anymore."
The carpenter said, "I think I understand the situation. Show me the nails and the post-hole digger and I'll be able to do a job that pleases you."
The older brother had to go to town, so he helped the carpenter get the materials ready and then he was off for the day. The carpenter worked hard all that day -- measuring, sawing and nailing. About sunset when the farmer returned, the carpenter had just finished his job.
The farmer's eyes opened wide, his jaw dropped. There was no fence there at all.
It was a bridge .. A bridge that stretched from one side of the creek to the other! A fine piece of work, handrails and all! And the neighbor, his younger brother, was coming toward them, his hand outstretched..
"You are quite a fellow to build this bridge after all I've said and done."
The two brothers stood at each end of the bridge, and then they met in middle, taking each other's hand. They turned to see the carpenter hoist his toolbox onto his shoulder.
"No, wait! Stay a few days. I've a lot of other projects for you," said the older brother.
"I'd love to stay on," the carpenter said, "but I have many more bridges to build."
Remember This... God won't ask what kind of car you drove, but He'll ask how many people you helped get where they needed to go.
God won't ask the square footage of your house, but He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.
God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet, but He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.
God won't ask how many friends you had, but He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.
God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived, but He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.
God won't ask about the color of your skin, but He'll ask about the content of your character.
God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation, but He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in Heaven, and not to the gates of hell.
God won't ask how many people you forwarded this to, but He'll ask why you were ashamed to pass it on to your friends...

As you remember someone else in prayer, may you be deeply blessed and know the love of God poured out into your life into one of the dry places. May you experience springs in your desert places and joy in your difficulties. A fresh anointing on your life and heart from the one who loves you unconditionally and always.

GROCERY LIST
Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store.
She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries.
She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food.
John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.
Visualizing the family needs, she said: 'Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.'
John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.
Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two . The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family. The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, 'Do you have a grocery list?'
Louise replied, 'Yes sir.' 'O.K' he said, 'put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries.'
Louise hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.
The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down..
The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, 'I can't believe it.'
The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.
The grocer stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement.
It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer, which said:
'Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands.'
The grocer gave her the groceries that he had Gathered and stood in stunned silence.
Louise thanked him and left the store. The other customer handed a one-hundred dollar bill to the grocer and said; 'It was worth every penny of it. Only God Knows how much a prayer weighs.'

LITTLE GIRL ON A PLANE An atheist was seated next to a little girl on an airplane and he turned to her and said, "Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger." The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total stranger, "What would you want to talk about?" Oh, I don't know," said the atheist. "How about why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?" as he smiled smugly. "OK," she said. "Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?" The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea." To which the little girl replies, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death, when you don't know shit?" And then she went back to reading her book.

THE CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
My husband and I had been happily married (most of the time) for five years but hadn't been blessed with a baby.
I decided to do some serious praying and promised God that if he would give us a child, I would be a perfect mother, love it with all my heart and raise it with His word as my guide.
God answered my prayers and blessed us with a son.
The next year God blessed us with another son.
The following year, He blessed us with yet another son.
The year after that we were blessed with a daughter.
My husband thought we'd been blessed right into poverty. We now had four children, and the oldest was only four years old.
I learned never to ask God for anything unless I meant it. As a minister once told me, "If you pray for rain, make sure you carry an umbrella."
I began reading a few verses of the Bible to the children each day as they lay in their cribs.. I was off to a good start. God had entrusted me with four children and I didn't want to disappoint Him.
I tried to be patient the day the children smashed two dozen eggs on the kitchen floor searching for baby chicks.
I tried to be understanding... when they started a hotel for homeless frogs in the spare bedroom, although it took me nearly two hours to catch all twenty-three frogs.
When my daughter poured ketchup all over herself and rolled up in a blanket to see how it felt to be a hot dog, I tried to see the humor rather than the mess.
In spite of changing over twenty-five thousand diapers, never eating a hot meal and never sleeping for more than thirty minutes at a time, I still thank God daily for my children.
While I couldn't keep my promise to be a perfect mother - I didn't even come close...I did keep my promise to raise them in the Word of God.
I knew I was missing the mark just a little when I told my daughter we were going to church to worship God, and she wanted to bring a bar of soap along to "wash up" Jesus, too.
Something was lost in the translation when I explained that God gave us everlasting life, and my son thought it was generous of God to give us his "last wife."
My proudest moment came during the children's Christmas pageant.
My daughter was playing Mary, two of my sons were shepherds and my youngest son was a wise man. This was their moment to shine. My five-year-old shepherd had practiced his line, "We found the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes."
But he was nervous and said, "The baby was wrapped in wrinkled clothes."
My four-year-old "Mary" said, "That's not 'wrinkled clothes,' silly. "That's dirty, rotten clothes."
A wrestling match broke out between Mary and the shepherd and was stopped by an angel, who bent her halo and lost her left wing.
I slouched a little lower in my seat when Mary dropped the doll representing Baby Jesus, and it bounced down the aisle crying, "Mama-mama."
Mary grabbed the doll, wrapped it back up and held it tightly as the wise men arrived.
My other son stepped forward wearing a bathrobe and a paper crown, knelt at the manger and announced, "We are the three wise men, and we are bringing gifts of gold, common sense and fur."
The congregation dissolved into laughter, and the pageant got a standing ovation.
"I've never enjoyed a Christmas program as much as this one," laughed the pastor, wiping tears from his eyes "For the rest of my life, I'll never hear the Christmas story without thinking of gold, common sense and fur."
"My children are my pride and my joy and my greatest blessing," I said as I dug through my purse for an aspirin.
Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
Had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.
Feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us.
If you believe in God and in Jesus Christ His Son, send this to all on your buddy list.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Nic Billman: God Asks, "What Do You See?" by Nic Billman Dec 12, 2012 Intro From Julie A. Smith: Nic and Rachael Billman are the founders of Shores of Grace Ministries in Recife, Brazil. This nation has the second highest number of children in prostitution, right behind Thailand. The Billman's are taking the love of the Father and the power of the Gospel to the women and children in prostitution and sex-trafficking in that nation. Nic sent in this article to us of seeing God heal and touch lives on the streets of Brazil; we liked his article so much that we are publishing it today on both the Elijah List and Breaking Christian News. As Nic was ministering one night in the city of Recife, Brazil, God poses a question to him: "What do you see?" I know this question well as I've spent time in Thailand and saw firsthand women and children right in the middle of the sex-trade industry, as well as visiting the slums in Thailand. The sights of beautiful young women selling themselves and little children orphaned and/or left to be abused were unbearable. Yet in the midst of all the spiritual darkness God chose to tell me that Thailand has an inheritance of wisdom and honor that He is going to restore – it is their God-given birthright. It was reported in 2010 that Thailand and Brazil were considered to have the worst child sex-trafficking records. Human rights are coming to the forefront of many ministries in this day, and I know it's something God very much wants His Church Body involved in. The darkest of nations await to come into their God-given identities as we partner with Him over the land. Will we choose to see these places as God sees them, completely transformed? I encourage you to keep Nic and Rachael Billman in prayer and ministries like them who God sends to bring the transforming power of His love to people who desperately need Him. Julie A. Smith, Editor The Elijah List www.elijahlist.com Nic Billman: God Asks, "What Do You See?" Recently, I posted a status update on Facebook that said, "If you are a Christian and all of your friends are Christians, it's time to make some new friends." A couple people took issue with this because they believe Christians should not be friends with people in the world. They suggested we should seek to save the lost, but not befriend them for fear that they may drag us into sin. Unfortunately, this false perspective is pervading the Church right now. The truth is, our perspective on the lost will determine our heart for them and our urgency to see them set free. I know who I am, and I walk in identity and wisdom. Because of that, when I go to make some friends on the streets, I don't go alone. I take Rachael or some of our team members with me. I'm not worried about the lost dragging me into sin. If that becomes our fear, we've already put our focus on the wrong thing. Instead, I fix my eyes on Jesus, and regardless of other people's behavior, I continue to show them how much He loves them. Paul became all things to all people that he might reach some, but he did this without compromising. One friend clarified that he wasn't referring to the people on the streets of Brazil, but to non-Christian friends in America who continue to reject Jesus. I do not see any difference between the two. If people are lost, they're lost. The geography and the behavioral variation make no difference to me. Jesus didn't have a caste system for sinners; He befriended tax-collectors, harlots, Pharisees, thieves, and probably even stay-at-home moms addicted to soap operas. The nature of the sin was not important when compared to the heart's need for nurture. The reality is: Deep inside, every lost person is crying out, "Who am I?" We need to know who we are in Christ so we can tell them who they are. We see how Jesus viewed the lost in these words: "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends" (John 15:13). He laid His life down for His friends. He chose to call us friends – even before we knew Him – not sinners. When He hung on the Cross, He looked at the people of the world before Him and cried out, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do" (Luke 23:34). This is Jesus's heart; even in His greatest moment of weakness, He prayed for us and cried out for our forgiveness. Open Heaven At a Strip Club Downtown Curitiba, Brazil, has a strip club called The Wiskaria, where our team has ministered many times. It all began one night as we were walking the streets. I approached the bouncer to the club and asked if I could pray for him. He acted awkwardly, telling me he was a Christian and only worked there because he needed money. Then he proceeded to show me all of the Christian music on his phone to prove his story. Clearly, he had immediately started to feel guilty because he knew that this job was not God's will for him. However, I said, "It's no problem. God sees your heart, and He will provide another job for you, but in the meantime, He's here with you, and He loves you." That night we prayed with him, and he said he felt peace and a heat all over his body as we prayed, even though it was very cold that night. The next time we came back, he had a big smile on his face, and he told us to wait out front. He went into the club and brought out five other bouncers, pointing to each one and declaring their need for prayer. "This one needs healing. This one just got divorced, and he's sad. This one doesn't know Jesus. This one has a problem with alcohol. And this one just needs a blessing." We prayed for each one, and as we prayed, some of the dancers came out to see what was going on. The girls on our team then talked and prayed with them. Even some clients saw us, came out to ask what we were doing, and then requested prayer – it was an open Heaven – at a strip club! As we were talking, the manager pulled up, and I thought we were in trouble because there was quite a commotion in front of his club. Leo, our bouncer friend, explained who we were, and the manager then asked for prayer as well. Then he said, "You are welcome to come to my club and pray for my employees anytime you want to." Shortly after that, we started sending a few of our girls into the club to pray for the dancers and to share about Jesus with them. While the girls were inside, we guys stayed outside and continued to love on Leo, the other bouncers, and the clients. We saw lots of inner healing and restoration take place both inside and outside of that club. "Can These Bones Live?" Ezekiel 37 tells the story of Ezekiel's partnership with God in a valley of dry bones. Ezekiel was surrounded by death and decay. Then God asked him a question, "Can these bones live?" (Ezekiel 37:3). At moments like these, we must ask ourselves, Why does God ask questions? Why does the one who is called Wisdom, the omniscient one, ask questions? I believe, when God asks a question, it is because He is about to transform our vision. Often, when we're in the valley, we get so busy praying for God to do something that we forget to stop and listen. In prayer, listening is equally as important as bringing our hearts before the Lord. It is easier to talk than it is to listen. It's easier to pray than to be silent. However, sometimes when we are praying and petitioning, the Lord is saying, "Be still, and know that I am God..." (Psalm 46:10). Ezekiel's response to God revealed his heart and his trust in Him. "Oh Lord God, You know" (Ezekiel 37:3). Then God directed Ezekiel to prophesy life and breath to the bones. As he did, the bones came to life, transforming them into an "exceedingly great army" (Ezekiel 37:10). God took Ezekiel to the valley of dry bones because He wanted to transform the way he saw his nation and his generation. As sons and daughters, we need to mature past assumption and into discernment. It's so important to discern and know the season we are in. A prayer that I pray often in worship is, "If Your heart is in the valley, then I'll leave the mountaintops behind. If Your heart is in the storms and the waves, then I'll leave the boat, and I will come to You. If Your heart is in the fire, then I'll stare into the flames, and I will run to You." We may find ourselves in the wilderness praying for deliverance when God's desire is for us to plant gardens and call forth the springs in the desert. Likewise, we may be in a valley of death asking God to deliver us to the mountaintops when His desire is for us to declare life. We must seek to know the heart of our Father and His will for our lives every day. Sometimes God will put us in the middle of a valley of death and then ask us, "What do you see?" In other words, do we see dry bones and death, or do we see an army? I am amazed by the revelation of the heart of God in this story. The Bible specifically tells us that these bones were dry. They were long dead and long forgotten, yet that is where God chose to raise up an army. As Christians, we should pray for God to raise up soldiers of love within the Church. This is important. However, sometimes we are looking in the Church for what can only be found in the world. In the world, an army of lost souls waits for the mature sons and daughters of God to prophesy life and breathe into them. The question is: What do we see – a pile of dry bones or a mighty army? The abandoned, the abused, the outcast, the trafficked, and the untouchables are the dry bones of our generation. They are a hungry army longing to be filled with something of substance – the breath of their Papa. There is a revival coming from among these precious ones, and God is calling us to stand amidst these dry bones and declare, "Awaken! Life! Breath!" On the streets of Brazil, we stand in a true valley of death night in and night out. Homeless children as young as six are prostituting and smoking crack, and darkness surrounds this city in many ways. In the midst of all of this, what do I see? I see an army! I hear the sound of life! I fix my eyes on destiny and not on circumstance. We have a choice to make. Will we see and hear only with our natural eyes and ears, or will we see and hear with the eyes and ears of the Father? I choose His vision and His hearing! I See a Garden! Just a few weeks ago, I was in a small park in Recife surrounded by street children and homeless adults around midnight. That night there were little girls, as young as ten, who were prostituting, and street boys of the same age were sniffing glue and smoking crack. Some people there have literally lost their minds because of drug and alcohol abuse and are now living homeless on the streets. At the edge of the park stood police, who often come to beat the children when they have nothing else to do. I was sitting right in the middle of the chaos. It wasn't a nice soaking atmosphere with quiet instrumental music and meditative prayers; it was loud with the sounds of the city and these broken people. But Jesus comes right into the middle of our chaos and brokenness, our sin and suffering. God didn't dance around the edges; He put the Cross right in the middle of it all. That night in Brazil, right in the middle of the chaos and brokenness, the Father asked me a question. He said, "Son, what do you see?" I knew God wanted to show me what He saw, so I waited and looked around the dirty little park. As I looked at the children, I saw them begin to bloom like flowers. I saw fruit trees springing up where there was only concrete and trash, and I saw a river begin to flow through the drugs and the violence. I responded to the Lord, "I see a garden." He replied, "Good! So do I." As sons and daughters, this is what we do. The Father gives us seeds, and we plant them among the broken soil of our generation. He is always faithful to water the gardens we have planted. I believe a true revival is coming from the dirtiest and most broken places of our generation. The best fertilizer is a bunch of manure, so let's plant seeds of revival in the smelliest and dirtiest places we can find! The same concept applies to our personal lives, too. When we are going through difficult times, we can rejoice because surely the Father is planting seeds amidst the fertilizer of our brokenness and struggle, and He is always faithful to water the seeds. He's a good Papa and He is teaching us to see like He sees! Nic Billman Shores of Grace Ministries Email: nic@shoresofgrace.com

Eileen Fisher: The Well of Salvation Will Be Poured Out Over Our Nation by Eileen Fisher Dec 27, 2012
The following corporate prophetic word was given by Eileen Fisher on November 6, 2012 during her weekly Prophetic School of the Holy Spirit meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado:
"I Have Sent You My Truth"
"I have asked some of you to pick up your cross and follow Me. Yet you have not understood. You have thought I have been cross with you. That is not why I have asked you to pick up your cross and follow Me. I have asked you to pick up your cross and follow Me so I can help you carry your cross; so your strength will fall and My strength will enter in. I am going to strengthen you by My Spirit. You have come and you have presented your brokenness to Me. I will not turn My back on a broken vessel, nor will I turn My back on a broken heart. I have come to heal the broken-hearted and to set the captives free.
"I say, begin to act like one who has been set free. Begin to act it out in faith, receiving your freedom. Knowing I am not a task master, but I am One who comes and stands beside you. When your cross seems heavy, allow Me to carry it and carry you also. What dies upon your cross is the flesh, and at the same time it resurrects your spirit. Your spirit becomes free and your spirit becomes alive and your spirit comes to know it can do all things through Me who strengthens your spirit. Know I will strengthen your spirit. I have not brought confusion, I have not brought condemnation. I have not brought harsh correction. I have not come to you and said, 'Pull yourself up!'
"That is not My Spirit, nor My heart, nor My intent. I have sent you My Strengthener. I have sent you My Friend. I have sent you My Counselor. I will send you My Truth, for I will not have an army bent over in terror. I will have an army bent over in awe; in awe of the King of kings who has entered in. When He enters in, He is pulling His own into Himself and taking them and presenting them to the Father so the Father can seal them with His love of approval. I have not brought you a spirit of fear. I have not brought you the spirit of disappointment.
"My Hand is Moving Across Your Nation in a Miraculous Way"
"I have not brought you to allow you to be confused and lost. I have brought you into Myself to protect you, to heal you, to have you come to understand I have died so that you may have life abundantly. Choose the abundant life in My Spirit. Look not to man. Look not to man for your answer. Look not to man for strength, from the army of man, but look to the hand of the Lord your God. It is not too weak to where it cannot come against the weakness of the hand of man. I want you to understand My hand can become gentle when it needs to become gentle.
"My hand can be so strong when it needs to lead My own out. I am able to be all things for all My people. I take a child and I gently, very gently, lift that child up to My Father and will speak forth blessings and a future. I take those of all ages and I place them under Myself and hold and sing over My saints so I can bless them. I cause the young men who are weak and weary to rise up and to run fresh and in My strength. I take My women and place dignity, honor, and respect upon them to where their names will be called blessed, because I call them blessed women.
"Understand I am the God of gentleness. I am the God of power and might. I can be all things necessary to rescue and save My own. Look not to man but look to Me, the Lord your God, for My hand is moving across your nation in a miraculous way," says the Lord your God.
"You will hear a miraculous report of the Lord. You will dance in the streets and you will sing and you will declare, 'All is well!' I will say until you, sing it in faith, sing it when you are alone, declare it, decree it, and so it shall be: All shall be well because the well of salvation is going to be poured out fresh over your nation. I am causing places that have been dry to open up to My reign. I will come down and you will hear, 'Let us go to the sanctuary of the Lord our God and be dipped in the well of our own salvation," says the Lord your God.
